How the estimate works
There is no official downloads or revenue API, so every estimate is a model. We read the signals Apple does expose: how quickly an app gains ratings and reviews, where it sits on the charts and in keyword results, its price, and its in-app purchase setup. Those feed download and revenue ranges with a confidence level attached.
Use the ranges to size a market or a competitor, not as exact accounting. Apps with more public history produce tighter, higher-confidence estimates. Sparse apps produce wider ranges, and we flag them as low confidence so you know not to over-read them.

- Accuracy depends on how much public data an app has. Apps with steady rating growth and strong chart presence get a higher-confidence estimate. Brand new apps or ones with very few ratings get a wider, low-confidence range. Every estimate shows a confidence level so you know how much to trust it.
